MODULAR

MODULAR GARMENT
The project is built on the idea of a “garment atom” — a primary unit that can be freely assembled, detached and reconfigured into countless silhouettes and uses. This is not outdoor-driven convertibility, but an authorial principle of transformation, where the wearer becomes a co-creator: changing shape, length, colour and even the very category of the piece (a dress into a skirt, a coat into a vest…). Modularity becomes a playful strategy against overproduction, shifting the desire for “new” towards the joy of re-making. The outcome is a timeless, re-assemblable set that unites freedom of expression with ecologically conscious design.

faces of your other

This work was inspired by the painter Zakaria Ramhani, a Moroccan visual artist living and working in Montreal. He is known for his large-scale paintings that use Arabic calligraphy as a gestural, expressive element. The expression of his brushstrokes fascinated me and reminded me of threads and yarns, so I translated this feeling into expressive knitwear and textile surfaces, combined with denim pieces.

contrasts

Through crochet I build an architecture on the body: line becomes structure, layering becomes volume, tension becomes form. Contrasts of fine × coarse and sheer × opaque turn the surface into a relief that shifts in motion. At the edge of wearability and experiment, the material speaks—guided by construction logic.

relationship

Two shirts as two souls.
The outer one is falling apart, revealing the inner layer – a fragile heart.
A study of how hard it is to see beneath the surface of another person.

Dance

The original textile by Anna Formánková was created by translating dancers’ trajectories—brush-drawn movements turned into prints. Through pattern construction, my dresses carry those strokes and their momentum into three-dimensional form: the fabric folds, swirls and spirals around the body like choreography in space.

Niké

A dress draped in the spirit of ancient Greece, built on a hidden corset base.
It looks as if it is held together only by ropes, balancing between freedom and restraint.
Soft folds wrapping a very controlled inner structure.

Texture

A hand-made textile grown from simple knots and strips of fabric.
Macramé memories from childhood turned into a dense, organic surface.
A reminder that fabric can be built, not only bought.

blur mind

Vintage Ascher prints, sailors and florals, filtered through a 1960s psychedelic lens.
Transparent raincoats with lenticular foil disturb and blur the patterns beneath.
A visual translation of an altered state of mind.

An author project for We’re Next: a walk through my inner world, where expression searches for form.
Between wearable and extravagant — experiments with making fabric, mixing crafts, creating something new.
Leather squares screwed into lattices, white leather panels with knit tees and dresses; striped cotton for pants and skirts.

ellipses

A collection built from curves and ellipses.
Layers slide over each other, reshaping what is underneath.
Silhouette as an orbit – every layer slightly shifting the next.

The Order

A women’s jacket as a symbol of order, rules and control.
Graphic lines and a net-like textile structure refer to fences, systems and boundaries.
Elegance inside a strict, almost architectural framework.
